Psychological & Counselling System (PsyCare): Enabling Comprehensive Staff Mental Health Access
Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) ensures equitable and streamlined access to mental health support for its entire workforce through the Psychological & Counselling System (PsyCare). This dedicated online platform, developed by the Centre for Psychological & Counselling Services, serves as the central administrative and delivery system for mental health and psychological support services for all members of the UTM community, including staff (staf).
UTM staff are provided with a confidential, user-friendly digital gateway to essential services by logging into the MyUTM Portal and accessing the PsyCare menu under the 'Working at UTM' section. The system facilitates the entire support process, from initial registration to consultation, allowing staff to easily apply for a counselling session (Mohon Temujanji) by selecting their preferred date and time slots. This system automates the workflow, providing a clear audit trail for applications, confirmations (via email), monitoring, and reporting, ensuring both efficiency and confidentiality in the provision of care.
The services themselves are delivered by qualified professionals, including a team of Senior Psychology Officers who are explicitly tasked with planning, implementing, and delivering psychological and counselling programs to enhance the well-being of staff. By providing a dedicated, secure, and accessible digital platform that serves both students and staff, UTM demonstrates its robust, systematic, and transparent commitment to promoting mental well-being and resilience across all tiers of its organization, directly contributing to UN Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being.
