GOVERNANCE (Good Governance)
Anti-bribery and anti-corruption plan
Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) reinforces its commitment to integrity, transparency, and ethical governance through the implementation of its Organisational Anti-Corruption Plan (OACP), which serves as a formal anti-bribery and anti-corruption policy. Endorsed at the institutional level, the OACP establishes a structured framework to prevent, detect, and address corruption risks across university operations.
Universiti Teknologi Malaysia’s Organisational Anti-Corruption Plan (OACP), outlining its zero-tolerance approach to bribery and corruption, key institutional risk areas, and structured strategies for prevention, detection, and governance oversight.
The policy adopts a zero-tolerance stance towards all forms of bribery and corruption and identifies key risk areas such as procurement, financial management, human resource management, and project implementation. It outlines targeted mitigation strategies, including strengthening internal controls, enhancing compliance mechanisms, and promoting accountability in decision-making processes.
Implementation of this initiative is supported by dedicated governance structures responsible for monitoring compliance, coordinating anti-corruption initiatives, and fostering a culture of integrity among staff and stakeholders. The OACP also emphasises awareness, training, and continuous monitoring to ensure effective institutionalisation of anti-corruption practices.
